Cobden Unit School District 17 is excited to announce that online registration is now available! The online registration form can be found on the District website, www.cobdenappleknockers.com, under the menu tab. ALL students, returning and new must complete the form yearly. We hope that parents find the new registration process helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact the building offices with any questions or concerns.
A few notes about the new process:
Please complete all information. You MUST complete a separate form for each child. New students are required to contact the building office to schedule an appointment to complete registration. New students are NOT registered until they have contacted the building office and completed the appointment.
Registration fees will be applied to your student's account and may be paid online via TeacherEase, by mailing a check to the school, or by paying cash/check in person.
School supply lists can be found on the district website.
Online registration is now open for pre-registration for the upcoming school year. We ask that ALL students students complete the registration process prior to August 9th, 2021. This is taking place of the pre-registration packets that are typically sent home in the Spring.

Tomorrow’s High school baseball game at Pope County has been canceled.

ORDER YOUR 2020-21 YEARBOOKS NOW. Orders can be placed online or by picking an order form in the office. Orders are due May 21st.


The junior high golf match today at Stone Creek has been canceled and will be rescheduled for Tuesday May 4th at 3:00.

CYCA members Olivia Brumleve, Tess Brummer, Nicole Basler, Mary Pender, & Allison Benefield with volunteer sponsors Carlee Coplea & Jamie Nash-Mayberry continued work on the community garden Saturday morning. Flowers and herbs were planted after much weeding, and next week tomatoes and peppers will be planted in the tilled plot with the intention of donating any produce to the Elementary food pantry.





There will not be a C game for HS volleyball on Monday 4/19 but the jv game will now start at 5:15.

Congratulations to Aubrey Fisher, Noah Franklin, and Kate Staley for being selected as Cobden High School's 2021 Illinois State Scholars for their academic achievements.

Congratulations to Aubrey Fisher on being accepted to SLU, University of Florida, University of Alabama, University of Alabama at Birmingham, Baylor University and Washington University. Aubrey has officially accepted her offer from Washington University that includes the Washington University Scholarship. Her award offer covers tuition and fees. She will attend in the Fall of 2021 studying Neuroscience with a minor in Political Science.


Introduction to Family and Consumer Sciences students have been learning how to measure and read a recipe. Students prepared Rice Krispies in a mug for their first lab!

Congratulations Ms. Mary Enmon on her retirement! Tonight was her last night in the hallways. Ms. Mary has been an Appleknocker for 16 years and has always gone above and beyond for everyone here. Thank you for your years of dedication Mary. Enjoy retirement, you deserve it!

May 10-14 SENIOR WEEK:
May 10/11 Senior Exams for those required to take exams (schedule attached)
May 11 Class of 2021 parade downtown 6pm. Students should wear their cap/gowns. You may decorate your vehicles as you desire. Only 1 graduate per vehicle unless siblings. Parents will drive their students through the parade. Please arrive at the high school no later than 5:30 for lineup. (Information attached)
May 12 Senior Academic Awards and Scholarships presentations 8:30am. Seniors are encouraged to dress nicely.
May 12 Senior picnic following the awards program
May 14 Graduation practice 9am, girls should bring dress shoes to practice walking. Seniors will return all books and materials to complete checkout, followed by their last walk through the hallways as a class. Seniors plan to provide teachers and staff with lunch as well.
We are excited to inform you that Graduation will take place on May 14th at 7:30 pm on the baseball field. Students are allowed to bring as many guests as they would like, however you will need to provide your own seating/chairs. Students should arrive no later than 7pm and report to the study hall room. Dress code for graduation is as follows; Dresses, dress pants, dress shoes, button shirts with ties. No jeans, casual sandals, or tennis shoes.
May 27 Senior Athlete recognition on the baseball field 6pm. All senior athletes are encouraged to attend.
