We are very excited to announce that we received notice from the Illinois State Board of Education that Cobden High School is approved to offer a College and Career Pathway Endorsement in Human and Public Services (Education). This means that the students below will meet specific requirements and earn a special seal on their diploma. With this recognition, students will qualify for certain education scholarships as well as the potential for other incentives in teacher education programs. These students are formally recognized by ISBE as college and career ready. 👩🏻‍🏫 👨🏻‍🏫

Seniors in Mrs. Nashberry's Government classes learned about 9/11 today, then took a walk down to the Cobden Veterans Memorial to look at names as a reminder that Freedom isn't Free. Many had relatives on the memorial. They also made sure to take note of the name Ryan Stroehlein who passed away last year, and fought in Afghanistan from 2009-2013.
