
8th graders performed the Rainbow Challenge today. Students began with only red, blue, and yellow water, and were challenged to precisely measure and follow directions in order to end with 6 rainbow colors. Nice work!

Psychology students have spent this past week learning all about their brains. They created their own Brain Hats to help them remember the different lobes and how they help them learn, keep memories and sense the world around them.

Mr. Crawford's industrial design class assembling our new CNC plasma cutter. Mrs. Lefevere and Mr. Crawford will both be utilizing this new technology in their curriculum.




Education Pathway students, Madison and Connor are gaining hands on experience assisting elementary students. Madison, Connor and the four other students in the Education Pathway are a part of a new program at Cobden High School that promotes “growing our own” future teachers! In addition to the classroom experience, these students will graduate with an Education Endorsement on their diploma and will have 2 dual credit classes that count towards a Teacher Education major under their belts!

Congratulations to Colton Clausen and Halle Short on great showings at the Section 24 FFA Livestock Show. The horse show was held Friday afternoon at the Union County Fair and the Livestock show took place Saturday morning. We are proud of your accomplishments!



Two of our seniors, Ava and Jenny, are participating in the STEP program at Cobden High School. They have spent the week being trained in office and clerical skills so they can help the front office and teachers with different tasks throughout the year. They are awesome and hard workers!


Today’s junior high baseball and softball games have been canceled due to the high heat index.

HS volleyball vs AJ (8/26) has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

High school baseball games against Egyptian and Century scheduled for this week have been postponed. Both games will be rescheduled and information will be available as soon as possible.
