Class of 2024- Senior Week is ONE month away. Here is a heads up of the schedule.


Tess Brummer attended the Senator Dale Fowler Student Advisory Council in Springfield, IL on Wednesday. She had the honor to serve as a committee chairwoman for the mock bill committee debate.



Spring Picture Day tomorrow! All students will have photos taken. Graduation, Spring sports, and club pictures will also be taken.


Illinois State Police Special Agent and Appleknocker Alum Jeff Stroehlein spoke to both Civics classes today about his grandfather Gene Clutts, who was a Marion prison guard murdered by an inmate in 1983. Jeff also talked about being a homicide detective. This fits into the course unit on arguments for and against the death penalty.

The Anna Kiwanis is hosting a countywide fundraiser for all Union County Jr. Beta Clubs. Our club will receive profit for each ticket we sell for the fish fry. Please support our club and help to fund future conventions and events. Presale tickets are available now through April 17 for $12. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the day of for $15. If purchasing at the door, please let them know you are there to support Cobden Jr. Beta! The delicious meal will include fried fish, french fries, baked beans, coleslaw, and a drink. Cobden Youth & Community Advocates (CYCA) spring cause this year is Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois. This organization flies our local veterans to D.C. to see the war memorials, and the organization covers airfare, bus fare, entry fees, food, and supplies, and guarantees the veterans receive an honorary welcome home celebration when they return. The shirt designed below was a combination of two winning designs submitted by Anna Staley and Natalie Franklin as part of a project by Ms. Z (art student teacher) in Graphic Design class. Shirts are $15, and can be purchased using the form attached, or this online link below. Orders & money are due by April 10th.
We will hold a district-wide Patriotic-out day on the day of the flight Tuesday May 7th.

Postponed - Jr. High Golf at Harrisburg- No practice today
High school baseball at Egyptian has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday. Dismiss at 2:45. Bus leaves at 3:00 PM.
Today's softball game at Egyptian has been postponed due to rain.

"Cobden ESL Dance Team's first Spring season Performance will be on Monday, April 8 at 11:30am at Alto Vineyard in Alto Pass! They will also be dancing a couple of numbers to live music being played by the Sones de México Ensemble. Come out and enjoy the show on Eclipse Day!!"



Jr. High Golf will still have practice today after school until 5pm at the Country Club.
