Cobden FFA Varsity horse judging team brought home 3rd place out of 13 schools at the section 24 horse judging.
Individual standout Micah Brown placed 2nd over all out of all competitors.
21 students from Cobden FFA had the opportunity to attend a Horse
Evaluation Competition, and what an incredible experience it was!

Cobden FFA recently took a group of students to Southern Illinois University to attend the Greenhand and Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference an exciting day of learning and leadership!
This annual event is designed to help new FFA members ("Greenhands") and chapter officers build leadership skills, connect with others, and learn what it truly means to be part of the FFA family.
With over 600 FFA members from across the region in attendance, it was a powerful day of motivation, team-building, and agricultural education.

In honor of Mexican Independence Day, Spanish Club is hosting a movie night this coming TUESDAY, a week from tomorrow from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in my classroom 154. Open to family & friends. We will view 2 short films (39 min. & 34 min.) about 2 of the heroes of the War of Mexican Independence.

The Cobden boys golf team beat a very good Norris City team by 3 strokes today! Jaxson Boutwell was the medalist for the match, shooting a 38!

Introduction to Family and Consumer Sciences students are wrapping up the child development unit by participating in PreK stations. Students are practicing their small motor skills and social-emotional development!
Members of CYCA and Beta Club volunteered and took part in this year's "Out of the Darkness" Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk on Saturday in Cobden. Member Amelia Long also gave a moving speech at the opening ceremony.


Check out the new Appleknocker apparel designs in youth and adult sizes at Cobden Village Shops! There are still tank tops in various styles available as well. Proceeds are split between CYCA and ESL Dance team.
