Seniors in Mrs. Nash-Mayberry's two government classes held mock presidential debates today. Over the course of the unit, students learned about finding credible sources using the SIFT method, then researched and presented to one another how the actual candidates felt on the issues, prepped the candidates for the debate, and then held the debates today dressed nicely, or dressed as secret service agents, in front of the 8th grade audience. All candidates did an excellent job. 1st Hour government role play- Eden Kaszubski as Donald Trump, Chauncy Hilliard as Kamala Harris, 6th Hour government role play- Kevin Hernandez as Donald Trump, Sophie Barnhart as Kamala Harris.
