*Early Dismissal: Students will dismiss at 2:00 PM.
*Parent-Teacher Conferences: Conferences will take place Thursday evening by appointment.
*Appleknocker Club will be open until 6:00 PM for families needing after-school care.
👻 Friday, October 31 – Halloween!
*Students are welcome to wear costumes to school (please keep them school-appropriate).
*Early Dismissal at 11:30 AM.
*A sack lunch will be provided before dismissal.
*Parent-Teacher Conferences will continue in the afternoon.
*Appleknocker Club will be available until 3:30 PM.

Don’t feel like cooking? No worries — we’ve got you covered! Let the Cobden Jr. High Cheerleaders handle dinner for you! Join us Monday, October 27th from 5–9 PM at Pizza Villa in Anna, IL.

Mrs. Middleton’s class explored water habitats in reading and science last week! The students wrapped up the week by observing local pond water samples and artifacts from the ocean during science class. They loved getting hands-on and being scientists!








The Cobden PTO is excited to kick off the Schoolhouse Cheesecake Fundraiser! Order forms went home with students today, but if you’d like to participate and don’t have a student in our school, you can stop by the office to place your order. All orders are due by November 10th, and pickup will be on Monday, November 24th, from 3:00–7:00 PM at Schoolhouse Cheesecakes in Anna, IL. Thank you for supporting our school!

Amazing Appleknockers Mrs. Marks and Jesse Shuck! Their theme was all about “Making Someone Smile,” and they certainly did just that. 😄 Thank you both for reminding us how powerful a simple act of kindness can be!

The cafeteria has had lots of good things for students to try this week! This week they tried homemade cucumber salad and smores parfait!

Congratulations to all the Junior High runners today! They all did an amazing job!
A special congratulations to Harper Stringer on advancing to the Jr High State Meet later this month! She finished 8th overall today! Way to go Harper!


Thank you to all of you who participated in the PTO fundraiser! Congratulations to Penelope Stroehlein on winning the 2 ft tall dinosaur plushie! Again, thank you to everyone who helped make the fundraiser a great success!

Mrs. Ronna was nominated by the students for simply being awesome—because honestly, is there any other reason? Fernando was recognized for showing kindness toward his classmates. Both of them are truly Amazing Appleknockers who make our school a better place just by being here!
