We’re celebrating Flynt Brumleve and Ms. Stephanie for their hard work, positive energy, and dedication to making Cobden a great place to learn and grow. Thank you both for everything you do for our students and school community—you make us proud every day! 🍎👏

Last week our kitchen team prepared and served farm-fresh chicken from Flock Farm, and it was a big hit! The students really loved their lunch.

Families, we wanted to let you know about a small lunch menu update for tomorrow. Instead of spaghetti, students will enjoy fresh chicken drumsticks and thighs from Flock Farms. All side items will remain the same — green beans and fruit cocktail will still be served. Thank you for your understanding, and we’re excited to offer our students this fresh, locally sourced option! 🍽️🐓

The following students have reached their goals in November for our school-wide Accelerated Reading program. December Menu

As colder weather arrives, we want to make sure all students stay warm and comfortable throughout the school day. Please be sure your child comes to school each day with appropriate winter gear—coats, hats, gloves, and any additional layers they may need.

We plan to have outdoor recess as long as the actual or “feels like” temperature is above 32°F. Fresh air and movement are important, and proper winter clothing helps us keep students safe while enjoying their time outside.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone bundled up and ready for the colder months ahead!

Today we had a parade like no other! The hallways were filled with oohs and ahhs as students enjoyed our 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. They created their own balloons and showed off their marching skills, and the High School Band helped make the event even more special!

Tomorrow is 2:00 Dismissal and NO Appleknocker Club is available. Thanksgiving Break begins! No school Nov. 22-29th. Students return to school on Dec. 1st.

PTO Schoolhouse Cheesecake reminder. If you purchased cheesecakes from the PTO fundraiser, pickup is Nov. 24th at Schoolhouse Cheesecakes at 630 Sadler Rd in Anna. Pickup time is from 3:30-7:00 PM.

Our Kindergarten students enjoyed a wonderful hands-on learning experience today, thanks to Cedarhurst Education. They learned about the artist Vincent Van Gogh and explored a variety of painting techniques. Students even created their own beautiful sunflower masterpieces! Everyone had a great time and truly shined while practicing their new skills!

Congratulations to these 5th and 6th graders who were chosen to compete in the ROE’s Brain Games. A special congratulations to Logan, Maeve, Kenna, and Audrey for placing 2nd and advancing to regionals.

There are so many exciting things happening this holiday season! Attached is a calendar highlighting all of the fun events planned for Cobden Elementary throughout the month of December.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our cafeteria staff for the outstanding Thanksgiving meal they prepared. The staff and students both enjoyed the meal and spending some quality time together!

These turkeys know Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so they’re all dressed up in disguise! Which one is hidden the best?
