CYCA's district-wide cause to raise awareness and funds for this year is Organ Donation Awareness. We will take part in a green-out Tuesday March 3rd. This year's cause is inspired by staff member Bridget Flick, who was put on the transplant list last July due to her stage 4 kidney disease. If you are interested in being a donor, please see this link- http://livingdonorsluh.org/ The cause was also inspired by Cobden alum Kyle Hall, who was put on the transplant list October 2024 and has stage 5 kidney disease. Proceeds from shirt orders will go to the National Kidney Foundation. Below is the t-shirt we are selling to raise funds for the organization. The winning design was created by students Rae Cash and Lucas Aguirre in Art Club, and then brought to fruition by Tony Phillipe with Silkworm. Forms are due by Tuesday Feb. 10th. Forms will also be sent home with students. You may also fill out and print this form, or shirts can be purchased from this link- https://shopsilkworm.com/cobdenhscyca

Our students had an absolute blast at the pep rally on Wednesday! 🎉 The energy in the gym was contagious, and the highlight was definitely the staff inflatable race—full of laughs, cheers, and school spirit. Congrats to Ms. Stephanie, who took home the win at the race! Moments like these remind us how special it is to come together as a school community and just have fun. Thank you to our staff and students for making it such a memorable event! 💙🎈

Dear Families,

This is a friendly reminder that our Elementary Christmas Music Program for Kindergarten–5th grade students will take place tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. in the high school gym. All families and friends are welcome to attend—we hope you can join us!

Following the performance, please allow students to exit the gym and return to their classrooms with their teachers. Once all students have departed, parents and family members may enter through the front entrance of the elementary school to go to their child’s classroom and sign them out for the day, if desired.

We wish you a joyful holiday break and extend our warmest wishes for a happy and healthy New Year!

🎄 Fourth Grade Christmas Caring Project 🎄 Our fourth-grade students recently completed their annual Christmas Caring Project in support of our local veterans, and we couldn’t be more proud of their kindness and thoughtfulness. Each student handmade a Christmas card filled with appreciation and holiday cheer. In addition, we prepared 60 gift bags, ensuring that every veteran at the Anna Veterans Home will receive a special card and gift. Each bag includes diabetic socks, a packet of tissues, and we also donated several jars of melt-away mints to share. This project is a meaningful way for our students to learn the importance of gratitude, service, and honoring those who have served our country. Thank you to our fourth graders, Mrs. Tripp, and Mrs. Marks, for helping spread warmth and holiday joy this season. ❤️🇺🇸
