Student drop off & pick up information (K-5th grade) Cobden Elementary This is a friendly reminder for families about our Elementary student drop off & pick up information: When dropping off in the morning: -Elementary student drop off location for grades K-5 is at the North Entrance across from the baseball field -There are 4 marked spaces that vehicles can use to stop to allow their child to be dropped off -Please do not park in these spots, have students exit vehicle through door closest to building if possible -Continue moving after students have safely exited and enter building When picking up students in the afternoon: -Families should line up for pick up in front of the main entrance to the Elementary building (East door) -If you would like to park and get out of your vehicle to collect your student, please find a parking space as not to block traffic -The line in front of the building is meant to continuously flow to make pickup as efficient as possible -Staff will call for your student in the order that vehicles are safe to load -Please have student enter through closest vehicle door to building if possible -Once student is safely in vehicle, please continue forward to keep line moving Thank you for your cooperation! CYCA is planning a district-wide blue-out for Child Abuse Awareness Month on April 16th. Members are selling navy blue shirts for $12 throughout the community, and the plan is for students and staff to wear their blue-out shirts to help raise awareness of the cause on April 16th. Proceeds will go toward the Children's Medical and Mental Health Resource Network of Southern Illinois. The shirt design is a combination of insight from art student Jon Amon Ingold, CYCA members, and Tony Phillippe with Silkworm. CYCA members are also making informational posters to hang around the school about the cause. All orders and money are due March 19th.
