October 18 is picture day for Cobden School District. Pre-K through 12th grade pictures will be taken as well as the following sports:

High School Cross Country, Soccer, Golf, and Volleyball
School picture packets have been distributed to students, and sports picture packets can be picked up in the high school office.

Cobden Youth and Community Advocates (CYCA) members Olivia Brumleve and Kirstin Guardian put primer on some items today at the park. CYCA has some big community painting projects on its agenda, but unfortunately tomorrow's event will have to be canceled due to weather. This will be the fourth time it has been canceled due to rain, but the club already has another date set and are hoping fifth time is a charm!
In Language Arts class, seventh graders practiced their parts of speech and descriptive words by creating menus.

Seniors attended the Shawnee Experience this morning. Students were able to explore the programs that are offered at SCC and also learn about admissions and financial aid.

Family and Consumer Sciences Club members are cutting scent cloths to donate to the NICU at Children’s Hospital. Scent cloths promote bonding between moms and their babies who are staying in the NICU. October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. 👣
