On Saturday, Cobden Youth & Community Advocates (CYCA) and Beta Club joined forces to honor Veterans as part of the Wreaths Across America program by helping lay wreaths on all veterans graves at both Cobden and Alto Pass ceremonies. Mrs. Nashberry, Ms. Coplea and Mrs. Duty would like the students to know they are very proud of their efforts, for on their own time the students put out the wreaths in the cold, windy, pouring rain without complaint because they knew the importance of the cause.

Mr. Grossman is excited to announce the choice for this year’s play: Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic!
As children, we read fantastical stories of kids with incredible abilities, who go on amazing adventures, performing feats of extraordinary heroism. In the past 25 years, one boy-wizard in particular has risen to heights of unbelievable fame. When he discovered he had magical powers on his eleventh birthday, he embarked on an epic seven-year journey to vanquish evil. More than half a billion people followed this boy on his journey, which has now been turned into movies, comics, theme parks, and a wildly successful stage play. This, however, is not that story. This is the story of the Puffs, who happened to be there, too.
Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic is set in that school, following students who have an affinity for badgers and no wish to die trying to save the world.
Auditions will be held Wednesday, January 10th after school in Mr. Grossman’s room for any interested High School student. Please see Mr. Grossman to pick up an Audition Packet ASAP! We hope to see many of you there!
