Mr. LeFevre's Coffee Company has successfully completed their second week making coffee and hot chocolate for the faculty and staff. This is a new venture on Friday mornings, and as you can see, everyone is enjoying it!
Co Op student, Maria Martinez works at Don Taco in Carbondale. Maria is gaining experience in customer service and food service. Maria's manager said she is doing a great job and is looking forward to being a part of the Co Op program.

Class of 2027 and Educators Rising Club are selling mums for $18! Mums are planted in a 9in diameter pot. Mums typically grow 18-22in in diameter, but this varies with weather conditions. A variety of colors will be available and will be first come, first served. Pick up is on Wednesday, September 18 from 3:05-4:00 at the park behind the small gym. Mason Lyerla was elected as the 2024-2025 Vice President of Educators Rising Illinois. Mason will represent the state of Illinois at several future teacher events this year. Mason is currently a junior in the Education Pathway and hopes to be a Social Sciences teacher one day.
Ed Rising held their first meeting of the year! 35 students showed interest in becoming a teacher or working with children in the future. This year's officers did an excellent job leading the meeting. Mrs. Reiman is currently scheduling community stakeholders to present about college, career, and trade opportunities to current Cobden High School students. Lunch-n-Learns is an informal brown bag lunch series that provides individuals from various post-secondary, career, and trade backgrounds with an opportunity to talk about their field of interest to our students. If you have a program or career you want to present to CHS students, Mrs. Reiman invites you to be added to our Lunch-n-Learn Program schedule.
