UPDATE FOR 3/13

Mrs. Bartolo, Mr. Crawford and the HS Art Club are working with Cobden MS students the month of March to celebrate "YAM", Youth Arts Month. This after-school art program is part of the Foreground Rural Arts Initiative grant through Illinois Humanities Council in partnership with Artspace 304, Carbondale.



Open to all high school students, community members, and alumni!

Educators Rising members attended the Illinois Educators Rising Convention at Illinois State University today. State Public Relations Officer, Makenzie Hilliard helped lead the conference. The following students competed and did an excellent job!

SPRING BREAK IS COMING!

Early dismissal 3/17

School will dismiss at 2:08 on March 14th and 16th for Parent/Teacher Conferences. No appointment needed!

Introduction to Family and Consumer Sciences students have been studying meal planning, grocery shopping and MyPlate. Students worked together to prepare a meal! 🍽️





Students in Mrs. Nash-Mayberry's high school history courses participated in the local Jr-Sr High History Fair, and were judged and awarded by the Union County Historical Society. Congratulations to the following high school history fair winners: 1st place documentary on Apollo 11 by Isaac Reiman, Eric Guijon, Andres Amezquita, 1st place exhibit board on Miller Grove Settlement by Nicole Basler, 2nd place exhibit board on Turmoil in Cairo 1960's by Dora Funes, Yanet Hernandez, Kylee Clover, 3rd place a tie- exhibit board on Elvis by Anna Staley, Emma Kilpatrick, Sam Ingold, and exhibit board on Neil Armstrong by Kaylee Hall & Cheyenne Felder. All projects will compete later in March at the regionals at SIUC. Mrs. Nashberry felt like as a whole this Junior class produced some of the best projects she'd ever graded.





In Ms. Seever’s RTI, students wrote and acted out their own plays. These sixth grade girls came prepared with props and costumes!
