High School Baseball game for today has been canceled.
Cobden HS Outdoor Club had a great day in the woods yesterday, rock climbing and mountain biking!







Reminders:
-Final Exams Day 1 are tomorrow, May 22. Early Dismissal at 2:08pm.
-No School Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day.
-Final Exams Day 2 are Tuesday, May 26. Early Dismissal at 2:08pm.
-Jr. High Awards and 8th Grade Promotion will be Wednesday, May 27 at 9:00am. Students can be signed out after the program.
6th grade students are exempt from finals, unless they are failing a class. They do not need to report to school if they do not have to take a final.

The high school track team wrapped up the season on a high note with several personal best performances at the sectional meet!
Congratulations to James Eagle for earning 6th place in both the 100m and 200m, Tyler Shoemate for taking 6th in the 1600m, and Tristan Wilson for finishing 4th in the 3200m.

Summer Meals

Congratulations to Allison McGee on winning the Econ stock market game this semester! Mrs. Nashberry gave her an Amazon gift card for turning 1 million dollars into
2.1 million. The game follows the real stock market prices.

The Class of 2026 took their senior trip Wednesday to the St. Louis zoo, Cheesecake Factory, Galleria Mall and ended with a tour at Meramac Caverns. The trip was organized by class sponsors Mrs. Nashberry and Mrs. Guijon, and Mr. LeFevre helped them chaperone.

Jr. Beta members who met their academic and service requirements for the year enjoyed a day exploring the St. Louis City Museum.

The High School Award Ceremony is this Monday, May 11th, at 9:00 am in the high school gymnasium. We hope to see you there as we recognize our students' academic achievements.

8th graders who qualified for the Junior Illinois History Day competition traveled to Springfield on Monday where they visited the Capitol, the Illinois State History Museum, and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. Congratulations to Liv Clark and Jaylyn Stroehlein (not pictured) for being named state finalists!

Sr. Beta Club is participating in the Community Wide Yard Sale on May 9th. We will have tables set up in the small gym at CHS, and we are accepting donations. We are raising money to compete at the National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
We would appreciate donations of clean and gently used:
clothing and shoes
small to medium-sized home decor and furniture pieces
sports equipment
Toys
books
yard and outdoor equipment
Donations can be dropped off at Mrs. Reiman's office this week during school hours, or on May 8th until 7:00 pm.
