Bio

I am starting my 20th year in education this 2020/2021 school year. I taught 5th and 1st grades in Charleston, MO from 2001-2005. Then, my husband and I moved to the St. Louis area where I taught 4th and 5th grades at Pevely Elementary School in Pevely, MO from 2005-2012. I was the Director of Carbondale New School from 2012-2016 and have been teaching kindergarten at Cobden since 2016. Teaching kindergarten is so much fun! I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from SIU and a Master's degree in Educational Administration from William Woods University. My husband, Brad, and I have been married for 18 years and he is a teacher for the Cape Girardeau school district. We have an 11 yr old son, Thaniel, and a 2 yr old daughter, Ruthie. We also have a dog named Max and cat named Quirky. In my free time I like to read, travel, garden, sing, and work outside. I grew up in Cobden and love teaching fellow Appleknockers!

    "Be kind."
